BOOST TO COAST WATER SUPPLY

CENTRAL Coast Council is preparing to deliver one of the region’s most significant infrastructure projects – a nine-kilometre water pipeline from Mardi to Warnervale. The $61M project will boost water supply to the Central Coast’s rapidly growing northern suburbs and improve water security for the entire region.

NEW WATER TANKS INSTALLED

CENTRAL Coast Councilhas recently installed new water tanks at Matcham and Mount Elliot as part of an initiative to help fight fires in areas of the Central Coast without access to town water. The Central Coast now has eight strategically placed water tanks in four separate locations (Matcham, Mount Elliot, Holgate and Dooralong) to significantly reduce the time it takes to transport water during a fire.

STUDY PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS

WOULD-be student entrepreneurs have just a few days to enrol in a new Central Coast program which offers business studies with a difference. The inaugural Ignite Business LaunchPad will provide 20 school students with the chance to refine their business idea and pitch it to potential mentors.
