MERGERS: POSITIVE ATTITUDE PRAISED
Council merger good for business
By Di Bartok
THE planned Willoughby-North Sydney council will rule over three major CBDs, taking some of the sting out of the amalgamation.
NEW POLL ON MERGERS
LOCALS are being urged to take part in a poll to give them once last chance to have their say on the proposed amalgamation of North Sydney and Willoughby City Councils.
The results of the poll will be included in North Sydney Council's formal submission to the delegate appointed by the State Government to examine the proposed merger. The poll closes at 5pm on Thursday, February 25.
To complete the poll click here. Council is also conducting a letterbox drop to inform all local householders about the 28 February deadline for written submissions from the public.
AMID MERGER CONCERNS
Major projects on track
NORTH Sydney and Crows Nest/St Leonards residents and businesses need not worry that two key projects that will give them more open space and community facilities will “disappear” in the mooted council mergers.
