RETURN OF THE AMENITIES BUILDING
MEMBER for The Entrance, David Mehan MP, is pleased to see the return of the amenities building at Archbold Road, Long Jetty within the Long Jetty Foreshore Reserve, albeit with reduced facilities.
Central Coast Council commenced renewal works on June 26, 2024 after having notified residents that work would commence in February.
Council proceeded with its original plans of 2 x unisex ambulant cubicles and 1 x unisex disabled cubicle, after much community protest to the reduction in facilities.
The previous building consisted of seven cubicles, together with changerooms and showers.
Council has yet to commence works at the Gladstan Avenue amenities building which will also see a reduction in facilities.
