GARDEN FESTIVAL OF MUSIC, ART AND LIGHT

Origami Folding Art and Sound returns
AFTER two consecutive sold-out years and a prestigious 2024 Business NSW Award for Outstanding 24-Hour Economy Collaboration, Origami “Folding Art & Sound” returns for another night of immersive music, art, and light on April 12.

Described as “If Vivid & Dark Mofo had a love child, it would be Origami,” this boutique festival fuses nature with technology, transforming the stunning Edogawa Garden into a glowing dreamscape. Expect hypnotic light projections, live electronic music, avant-garde fashion, and site-specific performances, all unfolding in an enchanting Japanese-inspired setting.

Wander through the garden’s winding pathways and discover a variety of immersive experiences. Dance inside the Mini Teahouse Disco, lose yourself in pulsating live beats at the Japanese Pavilion, or be captivated by mesmerizing performances throughout the garden.

If you’re in the mood to unwind, find a quiet spot to connect with friends and soak in the atmosphere.

This year’s lineup features an eclectic mix of groundbreaking artists. DJ duo Stereogamous (Paul Mac & Jonny Seymour), known for their euphoric sets at Glastonbury and Burning Man, will ignite the dance floor. VJ duo St Luc will transform the garden with dazzling 3D projection & light compositions, while Marcus Whale brings his genre-fluid sound often forms conceptual worlds.

Electronic artist Putrika will weave soulful vocals with deep, ambient beats, and performance artist Justin Talplacido Shoulder will conjure surreal, shape-shifting personas.

Movement choreographer Fetu Taku will infuse the night with dynamic, high-energy dance, and the boundary-pushing Matt Format will deliver avant-garde drag performance that defy expectations.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to embrace the garden party theme with creative attire—think floral accessories, paper couture, and nature-inspired looks.

A curated menu of handmade Sichuan dumplings and bao buns, crafted from locally sourced ingredients, will be available, along with a fully licensed pop-up bar. Come early, doors open 5pm & kicks off with an Avant Guard costume parade.

Origami 2025 is a fully accessible event at Gosford Regional Gallery’s Edogawa Garden. Please bring festival seating to enjoy the experience comfortably and setup your posy. Tickets are limited, and this festival sells out fast.

Note that this is a strictly no BYO event. Get ready to step into a world where music, light, and art collide for a truly magical and unforgettable contemporary experience.
