WESTERN SYDNEY TAFE AWARDS

Jemima Morris named top TAFE achiever

MAKEUP artist Jemima Morris was named the top TAFE achiever for Western Sydney at a gala awards presentation in Penrith on May 21.

The 17 year-old from Winmalee studied beauty therapy at Blue Mountains College and was singled out for the Institute Medal from TAFE Western Sydney Institute’s 140,000 plus enrolments in 2014.

“Jemima’s passion and the resolute way that she has pursued her chosen career stood out to me in selecting the Institute Medallist. Jemima was amont 22 students presented with awards at the annual Student Excellence Awards event, held at Panthers World of Entertainment.

Awards were also presented to three enterprises which demonstrated a commitment to supporting the skills and training of the Australian workforce.
