ZOO REDEVELOPMENT ASSESSED

THE Department of Planning (DOP) is currently assessing Submissions put forward on the proposed $115 million redevelopment of Taronga Park Zoo. The project includes a 62-room hotel and eco-tourist facility to be known as the “Australia Habitat and Taronga Wildlife Retreat”. Mosman Council opposed the Masterplan during a recent vote by Councillors but the DOP is the consent authority as the project is deemed a “State Significant Site”.
