The program will deliver 5 new teachers at the Wyong Campus and 2 new teachers at the Ourimbah Campus, catering for increased enrolment demand in skilled trade qualifications.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Scot MacDonald said the new frontline teaching staff showed the NSW Government was backing TAFE on the Central Coast.
“These new teachers are a huge win for the Central Coast and will deliver education and training support to our local students to help them upskill or get a new job,” Mr MacDonald said.
“TAFE is modernizing and responding to new technologies and the transforming economy of the Central Coast.
“This investment in TAFE teachers will open up new opportunities for students and improve access to the world class teaching and skills training TAFE is renowned for.”
The Recruitment Taskforce will oversee the planned recruitment of 253 new TAFE teaching staff over the next 12 months across NSW.
