COVID-19 RESPIRATORY CLINIC AT ERINA

THE new COVID-19 Respiratory Clinic located in Erina opened to the public on Friday 1 May 2020, since opening daily testing numbers at the clinic have reached capacity.

Local not-for-profit organisation, Central Coast Primary Care, is operating the clinic. The clinic is led by local GPs and supported by experienced nursing and administration staff.

Federal Member for Robertson, Lucy Wicks said, “It is great to see such a strong community response since opening the Erina COVID-19 Respiratory Clinic.”

“The higher the testing rates, combined with Central Coast residents downloading and registering on the COVIDSafe app, the more confident we can be that community transmission is under control,” Ms Wicks said.

“As restrictions slowly ease on the road to recovery from the Coronavirus, it is essential people continue to get tested if they are experiencing respiratory related symptoms.”

With more than five million COVIDSafe registrations Australia wide, many are already doing their part to help protect and save the lives of those within their community.

“I would encourage everyone across the Central Coast to download the COVIDSafe app. This will give people throughout our community the opportunity to get back to doing what they love faster, as the Government will have the confidence that community transmission is under control.”

Michelle Bradbury, CEO of Central Coast Primary Care, said she is proud to bring this Respiratory Clinic to the local community.

“We know that testing for COVID-19 is important to help protect our community, for this reason we have streamlined processes to afford appointments every 10 minutes, instead of 15 minutes. This will give us the opportunity to test more people each day.”

“Since opening we have reached our daily capacity. This further emphasises the positive community response to the clinic.”

The Erina clinic is open from 10:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Sunday. Bookings are required and can be made at Central Coast Primary Care’s website,

www.ccpc.com.au. or by calling the Clinic on 0435 813 865.
