The team of 12 staff members organises monthly events for residents and locals, raising funds to give back to community organisations and initiatives.
The Village’s involvement in the community for more than 40 years has resulted in a more focused approach via the Fun Club, which aims to raise money for a select cause each month.
In September, the Fun Club created a day where all staff paid for the privilege of wearing the colours of their favourite AFL or NRL team to work and hosted a spring barbecue lunch, with funds raised going toward the Fight Cancer Foundation.
“The Club is the best way for us to get the community together in an effort to give back to organisations that are close to our hearts,” Fun Club leader Lana Kinross said.

“We are able to spread a little joy among the residents of the Village, as well as raise funds and awareness for community organisations.”
The Fun Club has also introduced a recycling program within the Village through the NSW Government’s Return and Earn initiative, where residents can donate their recycled bottles, and funds collected are added to the Club’s fundraising total.
Worthy causes to have benefitted so far are Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer the Fight Cancer Foundation and the family of a staff member who suddenly passed away.
