LARGEST RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CAPACITY

Australand's geothermal network world-class

AUSTRALAND Property Group’s Fairwater housing project in Blacktown is expected to host one of the largest residential geothermal energy capacities in the world.

Residents will be able to link into the project’s geothermal network for their heating and cooling, with possible savings across the estate, Australand estimates.

The company trialled the technology at its Libcombe sales office over 12 months.

Fairwater, a 38-hectare residential master-planned community situated within less than 1 kilometre from Blacktown CBD, is sited on the former Ashlar Golf Course,

Blacktown City Council rezoned the site to provide for between 800-1200 dwellings and approximately 6.86 hectares of public open space.

The Ashlar Golf Course has been relocated to new at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Course.

Paolo Bevilacqua, Australand’s national sustainability manager said Fairwater would be one of the most sustainable communities in Australia and one of the first to be registered for a green star community rating.
