IDRAFT EXPANDS NORTH

Approval for residential projects

LEADING western Sydney design firm IDRAFT Group (IDRAFT) has expanded its operations into the northern suburbs after receiving two recent approvals for high-quality residential developments in the Hornsby Local Government Area (LGA).

IDRAFT Director Frank Cozzupoli said the projects at Pennant Hills and Asquith reflected the firm’s ongoing commitment to delivering contemporary urban designs which meet the needs of fast-growing local communities.

“The team at IDRAFT is excited to be working on a number of new multi-residential projects across the northern suburbs,” Mr Cozzupoli said.

“We’re using best practice principles, as we have done over the last 20 years in western and southern Sydney to expand into the thriving property market in the northern suburbs.

“IDRAFT’s team of experienced designers and planning experts, led by our General Manager Michael Trinh, are working with local developers to create high-quality contemporary designs which focus on functional, community living and allow for maximum yield to ensure profitable and viable developments.”

The IDRAFT designed development at 7-15 Fisher Avenue and 2-6 Trebor Road, Pennant Hills, is a unique “island site” comprising 110 apartments over 5-storeys, which was approved by the Joint Regional Planning Plan (JRPP).

Spread over four corner blocks, the innovative development has been orientated by IDRAFT to embrace open green space and cohesive living and is also close to major public transport hubs, schools, shops and other amenities, off Pennant Hills Road.

The IDRAFT designed five-storey development at 439-441 Pacific Highway, Asquith, features a mix of 25 apartments (1, 2, and 3-bedroom) with two-levels of basement car parking, close to the local Asquith railway station and shopping centre.

Approved by Hornsby City Council in February this year, the development aligns with the State’s Government’s “A Plan for Growing Sydney”, which sets out a strategy for addressing the need for 664,000 new homes by 2031. The Plan identifies that the most suitable areas for new housing are in locations close to jobs, public transport, community facilities and services.

“The project included the Masterplan of the Mittabah Road future park design and working with Council, IDRAFT will be providing beautiful garden settings to promote community living for residents in the Asquith precinct,” Mr Cozzupoli added.
