The projects will see 25 new classrooms – 10 at Terrigal and 15 at Wamberal.
Terrigal state Liberal MP Adam Crouch joined Education Minister Rob Stokes for a sod-turning ceremony at Terrigal recently, marking the beginning of the work.
“These upgrades will ensure students and families in our local community have the very best when it comes to school facilities,” Mr Crouch said.
“The construction of these 25 new teaching spaces means that all demountables will be replaced with permanent classrooms.
“This also means that our local educational facilities will be future-proofed for projected growth in student numbers in the years to come.”
Mr Stokes said the NSW Government was working hard to deliver the school resources students and local communities need.
“This project will help provide the high-quality education our children need to succeed in the 21st century,” Mr Stokes said.
The State Government is spending $4.2n over four years building 120 new or upgraded schools and $747M on school maintenance. This is the biggest investment in public school infrastructure in the history of NSW.
