The Sun has come about after more than five years serving the Coast region as Central Coast Business Access (CCBA).
Publisher, Michael Walls, said the time had come to evolve the CCBA brand into a mainstream, community newspaper.
"CCBA enjoyed significant support among the business community of the Central Coast. It's now time to transition that foundational support into a broader context that brings together community, sport, business, local politics and local news in one media channel," said Mr Walls.
Mr Walls said the Sun brand would continue the long-standing support programs established under CCBA brand including the Central Coast Local Business Awards, Central Coast Business Excellence Awards and others.
He said plans are in train to launch a regional business Expo to be held at Mingara over the next 12 months.
