THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME

Coast cars in Lunchbox Rally
THE Lunchbox Rally scheduled for September features entries from the Central Coast.

AMBERGINI is driven by Jade and Amber from Berkley Vale and they are set for the adventure of a lifetime when they join a convoy of teams leaving Hay, NSW and travelling through Pooncarrie, White Cliffs, Cobar and back to Hay over three nights and four days.

The rally is designed to raise money for Cancer research. Jade has several friends which have been diagnosed with cancer recently and has had several melanomas over the last 10 years.

Amberginiis a1991 Mitsubishi Galant and the team is looking forward to seeing the Australian Outback and spending time with the family, Jade’s Husband Gareth, and daughter Ebony (14) are also taking part as team ‘The Vegemite Kid’

The Vegemite Kid is driven Gareth and with his daughter Ebony, a 1995 Ford Falcon Wagon which we have converted into the Vegemite Machine.

This is going to be an adventure for the Vegemite Kid team. Gareth lost his mother to Melanoma 15 years ago; this rally is to raise awareness and also spend time with his family.

Signarama has been a great support in developing the Vegemite Car, they kindly donated all the stickers and their time.

Lunchbox Rally is not a race, it’s a challenge to drive cars worth $1,500 or less and to participate, each team must raise a minimum of $3,000. As this is a unique and very special rally for kids, each team will have one adult driver, and a sidekick aged between 7 and 15 years.

Lunchbox is a unique opportunity for kids to see outback Australia in a safe, friendly and community environment. With elements from both Shitbox Rally and Mystery Box Rally it has a few kid friendly differences such as less nights, less kilometres and kid friendly entertainment in the evenings.

This is a chance to explore Australia, drawing family teams from around the country to help achieve the extraordinary, make family memories, meet other families, and raise money for cancer research.

This rally is to raise awareness and much needed funds to help with research for The Cancer Council.

Lakes Grammar Senior Campus is holding a fundraiser on Friday 6th September at School.  This has been organised by the Year 9 Outdoor Education students as part of the Duke of Edinburgh program.
