Rebel Rouser a top drop when named by Sunil

THE Australian Brewery at Rouse Hill has announced the winner of its ‘Name The Beer’ Competition.

Alex Hawke, Federal Member for Mitchell, was in attendance as Sunil Bhakri’s ‘The Rebel Rouser’ was awarded naming rights for the beer.

Sunil and 10 other residents who were finalists were involved in the crafting and creation of the brewery’s limited edition drop.

The ingenious name The Rebel Rouser is derived from The Castle Hill Rebellion, which occurred on March 4 1804.

The battle of Irish convicts against British colonial authority resulted in dozens of fatalities in paddocks spreading across Rouse Hill.

True to its name, The Rebel Rouser delivers a punching crafty flavour as well as a crisp and refreshing taste you would expect from the Australian Brewery.

However, you’ll also detect a full-flavoured amber lager balanced out with a hint of biscuity malt to finish.

Neal Cameron Head Brewer of The Australian Brewery is proud of the campaign’s success and the response from the community’s involvement.

“We had some excellent entrants with the winning name being linked back to the history of the area,” he said.

“The 10 finalists were involved in the process of creating the brew and the winners name is printed on the finished can.”

The new brew is now in production and is available at stockists throughout the Hills district of Sydney where the Australian Brewery is located.
